The NWC has obtained a copy of the proposed Senate whistleblower bill (S. 372) that is slatted to be submitted for unanimous consent and full Congressional approval during the lame duck session. The Senate Homeland Security Committee has not yet publicly released this document.

Stephen M. Kohn, NWC Executive Director, stated "Any legislation that will be submitted for Congressional approval must be made publicly available so whistleblowers and their supporter can carefully study the terms. We strongly request that the Senate Homeland Security Committee publish the proposed bill on its website and inform the public as to its current status and any timeline for approval. Transparency is the hallmark of democracy."
