Last week the House passed an amendment to protect federal employee whistleblowers.  This was a major step towards genuine oversight and accountability. We must not stand by and watch Congress spend billions of taxpayer dollars without whistleblower protections. This amendment is essential to protect not just spending in the stimulus, but also the integrity of all federal spending.  Federal employees who risk their careers to benefit the public good and save taxpayer dollars deserve strong protection from retaliation.  As was evidenced in the Bernard Maddoff case, federal regulators are failing to act because they have seen their colleagues destroyed for telling the truth. 

Act Now! Let the Senate know you want stronger protections for ALL whistleblowers.

We have never been this close and we need your help to make it to the finish line!  This is one of the most important legislative battles EVER for whistleblowers.  Pass this urgent message on to everyone you know.  Send it to your coworkers, friends, and family.  Post a message on facebook, myspace, and other networking sites.  Forward it to churches, community groups, and listserves.  The next few days are critical and you can make a difference.
