Agnes Mina is a healthcare whistleblower who reported wrongdoing, fraud, waste, and abuse by hospital staff, including doctors. Ms. Mina alleged that the conduct of hospital staff endangered patient safety and that a patent died. In retaliation for her allegations, Mina was terminated and denied unemployment benefits after the hospital claimed she abandoned her job. Eventually, the unemployment court ordered the hospital to pay her, and they reached a settlement.
