FBI Whistleblower Darin A. Jones exposed fraud, waste, and abuse at the FBI. Jones reported violations of procurement laws and regulations, including an unlawfully awarded $40 million task order. Jones alleged that the FBI’s Assistant Director of the Information and Technology Branch, who assisted in the development of the task order, retired and immediately went to work for the company who won the contract for the task order.
The National Whistleblower Center submitted two amicus briefs to the U.S. Deputy Attorney General in support of Mr. Jones’s case. However, after seven years, Mr. Jones is still fighting for justice. Mr. Jones’s wrongful termination case was summarily dismissed with no opportunity for appeal.
