Whistleblowers Get Help Now

The National Whistleblowers Center (NWC) and the National Whistleblower Legal Defense and Education Fund (NWLDEF) provide direct assistance and the information that you need to protect yourself.  Communications are protected to the maximum extent under law by attorney-client and work product privilege.

Submit Confidential Report:   Our confidential reporting program permits whistleblowers to disclose potential wrongdoing or retaliation.  Staff attorneys of the National Whistleblower Legal Defense and Education Fund review the report.  It is the single best method to have your claim or concerns reviewed quickly, and obtain direct advice on how to proceed.

Attorney Referral Service:  This is a confidential free service for whistleblowers. Your intake form is reviewed and the NWLDEF attempts to provide a referral to an attorney with expertise in the issues you have disclosed and/or with offices close you your home.

Books and Publications:   The books compiled by NWC contain a wealth of information necessary to understand key issues and the laws that may provide you with protection.

FAQs:   Our FAQs summarize your rights as a whistleblower.

Law Library:   Links to law libraries and special collections of materials of interest to whistleblowers to look up important cases and laws for your own legal research.

Know Your Rights: Provides information on frequently asked questions regarding the rights of employee whistleblowers.

The Whistleblower Handbook: The NWC strongly urges every whistleblower to obtain information about their rights and how to protect themselves. The Whistleblower Handbook is the essential reference guide for whistleblowers. Look for this book in your local library, local bookstore or purchase it from the NWC.
