National Whistleblower Center Joins the Global #GivingTuesday Movement

Washington, D.C.  November 24, 2015.  The National Whistleblower Center has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

#GivingTuesday is a collaborative effort to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. Occurring this year on December 1, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

This year the NWC has secured a matching gift of $10,000! From today until Giving Tuesday, every dollar you donate up to $10,000 will be doubled. No amount you contribute is too small.

The National Whistleblower Center is leading grassroots efforts to establish protections for wildlife whistleblowers, enact a permanent National Whistleblower Day, defend whistleblowers in the FBI who expose failures in our counterterrorism program and close the numerous loopholes in laws to ensure that all whistleblowers are protected from being blacklisted and/or harassed.
