Washington, D.C. January 26, 2015.  Today the National Whistleblower Center (NWC) released the report, “Whistleblower Reward Programs: An International Framework for the Detection of Corruption and Illegal Bribery” which sets forth the framework for a highly successful international whistleblower rewards program.

The report also documents how whistleblowers are key to the detection of fraud and misconduct and how reward programs are remarkably successful.

NWC Executive Director Stephen M. Kohn, commented on the report stating “The ability of foreign nationals to qualify for whistleblower rewards under the False Claims Act is a breakthrough in the worldwide fight against corruption.

Using this transnational law as the model the NWC strongly urges anti-corruption NGOs and government institutions to adopt this framework as a cornerstone in their government and corporate accountability programs.”

The NWC is prepared to work with anti-corruption activist and dedicated government officials worldwide to help build effective anti-corruption programs.
