UK Whistleblower Experts to Take Part in Major US Whistleblower Conference

UK whistleblower experts will discuss enforcement gaps in existing regulations and advocate for establishing a dedicated Office of the Whistleblower at a major US conference panel.

WASHINGTON, D.C. | July 27, 2021 — On July 28th, a panel of experts will convene to discuss the state of whistleblowing in the United Kingdom. Chief Executive and founder of Whistleblowers UKGeorgina Halford-Hall, will moderate the panel. They will discuss issues such as the drive to establish a dedicated Office of the Whistleblower in the UK and the significant obstacles facing whistleblowers in the UK today.

The panel will explore the lack of enforcement for existing whistleblower regulations in the UK and make recommendations about what can be done to ensure stronger enforcement of these whistleblower laws.

Ms. Halford-Hall will be joined by the Chair of the all-party Parliamentary group for whistleblowing Mary Robinson, Senior Editor of Financial Regulation at Thomson Reuters Lindsey Rogerson, and barrister and member of Whistleblowers UK’s legal panel Alexandra Sedossis. The panel will begin at 8:45 AM EDT on July 28th.
