WASHINGTON, D.C. | July 28, 2021 — Representative Kathleen Rice (D-NY) will speak at the 2021 National Whistleblower Day celebration hosted by the National Whistleblower Center (NWC) on Thursday, July 29th. Members of the U.S. House and Senate will begin their remarks at 12:30 PM EDT as part of Thursday’s programming, “WHISTLEBLOWING WORKS! Government Leaders Celebrate Whistleblowers.”

As co-chair of the House Whistleblower Protection Caucus, Rep. On many occasions, Rep. Rice has affirmed her commitment to whistleblowers, working to increase funding for the Office of Special Counsel in 2021 in order to support whistleblowers and standing beside Veterans Affairs whistleblowers who have come forward to report abuse.

In 2019 and 2017, Representative Rice spoke at NWC’s National Whistleblower Day celebrations about the urgent need to protect and celebrate whistleblowers.
