Government Officials, Advocates and Whistleblowers to Celebrate Whistleblowers on Capitol Hill

The National Whistleblower Center will host a major Capitol Hill celebration featuring prominent government officials, advocates, and whistleblowers from various sectors, with Dr. Jeffrey Wigand receiving a lifetime achievement award.

WASHINGTON, D.C. | July 9, 2024  On July 30, National Whistleblower Center is hosting a National Whistleblower Day 2024 celebration on Capitol Hill. The event is the largest and most prestigious event on whistleblowing, featuring speeches by notable whistleblowers, leading advocates and high-ranking government officials.

Speakers at the event include co-chairs of the Senate Whistleblower Protection Caucus Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Wyden, Representative Jamie Raskin and Special Counsel Hampton Dellinger.

Big tobacco whistleblower Dr. Jeffrey Wigand will be awarded a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony. Whistleblowers who have raised concerns about climate change, law enforcement and Boeing will also give remarks.

Officials from government whistleblower programs, leading whistleblower attorneys and advocacy groups and whistleblowers will be in attendance.
